Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former TV journalist Lauren Sanchez are reportedly planning to exchange vows in Venice, Italy, in what is anticipated to be the wedding of the summer. A source revealed to The U.S. Sun that the couple intends to marry at an iconic open-air theatre on an island in Venice. The festivities are expected to occur between June 24 and June 26.

The Venue: An Iconic Outdoor Theater

While the exact location remained a mystery, an Italy-based source disclosed that the ceremony would take place at a restored outdoor theater on an island. The word is that they have booked the theater which has been restored, the source claimed. It’s not your usual venue for a wedding, it would be iconic.Everyone is talking about the wedding and it’s going to be a huge celebration. The U.S. Sun chose not to disclose the venue’s name but confirmed that a two-week block of dates is unavailable for visitors on its website.

Venice’s Campaign to Host the Wedding

Morris Ceron,the director general of the Venice council,actively campaigned for Bezos and Sanchez to hold their wedding in the city. Logistics and Preparations

Bezos and Sanchez, along with approximately 200 guests, have reportedly booked luxury hotels throughout Venice. Bezos’s $500 million megayacht is also expected to be part of the festivities. Luigi Brugnaro, the mayor of venice, clarified that the couple had not reserved all of the city’s water taxis, contrary to earlier rumors.

Brugnaro stated, The organization has categorically not booked large amounts of gondolas or excessive numbers of water taxis, and it is their utmost priority to make sure the city functions as normal, for all, with no abnormal disruption to anyone. He added,The many speculations and fake news circulating about Jeff Bezos’ wedding are completely unfounded. Only two hundred guests will have been invited and therefore it will be easy for venice to accommodate such an event, without any disruption whatsoever to the city, its residents, and visitors.

A spokesperson for the mayor suggested the wedding might occur on Bezos’s megayacht, which will be anchored in the lagoon.The theater’s proximity to open water makes it easily accessible for guests arriving by boat.

A Star-Studded Guest List

The guest list includes a host of celebrities, such as Kim Kardashian, oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom and his fiancee Katy Perry, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, and Karlie Kloss and her husband Joshua kushner. President Donald Trump has also reportedly been invited, following Sanchez and bezos’s attendance at his inauguration.

The city’s top hotels, including The Aman Venice, the Belmond Hotel Cipriani, the St. Regis Venice, and the Gritti Palace, are reportedly nearly fully booked for the end of June. An insider revealed that Bezos and Sanchez have secured the $11,600-a-night Grand Canal suite at the Aman.

The Proposal and Engagement

Bezos, 61, proposed to Sanchez, 55, in May 2023 with a $2.5 million 20-carat ring, reportedly placed under her pillow. Sanchez told Vogue that she blacked out a bit during the proposal due to her excitement. The couple celebrated their engagement with a party on their megayacht in Positano, Italy.
