Perinthalmanna ∙ The Perinthalmanna police have arrested a youth in a case of sexual exploitation and financial fraud by meeting housewives through WhatsApp groups discussing spiritual fields and morphing photos and videos. Muhammad Yasim (19), a native of Pattambi Amayur, was arrested. The case was registered on the complaint of a native of Perinthalmanna.
The police said that the method of the accused is to meet women through WhatsApp and extort money by threatening them. The accused was nabbed by a team comprising Inspector A. Premjith, SI Shijo C. Thankachan, ASI Rekhamol, SCPO Shiju, CPOs Salman Palliyalthodi and Jayesh Ramapuram. Perinthalmanna was remanded by the court.
