The best-selling brand last year was Ĺ koda, with sales up 23% to 77,490 vehicles, followed by Hyundai with sales of 20,068 vehicles, up 8%, and in third place Volkswagen, with sales up 18%. , up to 18,938 cars. Sales of hybrids, which largely fall into the gasoline-powered category, rose 44.5%. SUVs became the best-selling business class with a share of 45%.
Sales of light commercial vehicles increased by 34.7% to 22,780 vehicles. In the last month of the year the increase was 27%. The best-selling car was Renault with 3,555 cars, followed by Volkswagen and Ford. The most popular van was the Renault Master.
Truck registrations increased by 15.9% to 10,424 vehicles. However, sales were down 8% in December compared to last year. Mercedes-Benz came in first place with 2,076 vehicles, followed by Volvo and DAF in third. Tractor units accounted for 53% of sales.
Bus sales fell by 11% compared to last year and amounted to 1,080 vehicles. In December, this segment showed 141 percent growth. Iveco Bus sold the most buses – 290, Setra was in second place, and SOR was in third place.
New motorcycle registrations rose 4% to 26,575 units. Sales fell by a fifth in December. Honda took the top spot with sales of 6,949 motorcycles, followed by China’s CF Moto, while Yamaha came in third.
