Templeton, MA – September 15, 2025 – Seven individuals were transported to area hospitals Sunday afternoon following a multi-vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer carrying logs on Route 2 in Templeton and phillipston, Massachusetts. Teh crash prompted a complete closure of the highway in both directions for several hours as emergency responders worked the scene.
The incident occurred as authorities investigated the cause of the collision. Massachusetts State Police are leading the investigation, and details regarding the circumstances leading to the crash have not yet been released. The highway has as reopened to traffic.
According to reporting from CBS news, the crash involved multiple cars and a logging truck. Emergency medical services evaluated numerous individuals at the scene, ultimately transporting seven people to hospitals wiht unspecified injuries.
Route 2 was shut down in both directions between Templeton and Phillipston while police and rescue crews responded.phillipston is located approximately 30 miles northwest of Worcester and nearly 80 miles west of Boston.
