50 Days to Go: 2025 IHF Women’s World Championship Schedule Released
Preparations are in full swing with just 50 days remaining until the throw-off of the 27th IHF Women’s World Championship. The tournament will be hosted across five venues – three in the Netherlands and two in Germany – as 32 teams prepare to compete for the title.
The updated schedule for the championship has been released, detailing the throw-off times for all teams in the preliminary round and the match times for the main round.
The competition begins on Wednesday, November 26th, with Spain facing Paraguay at 18:00 CET in the SWT Arena in Trier. Together, Montenegro will compete against the Faroe Islands in Group D.
Also on November 26th, the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart will host two matches in Group C: Serbia versus Uruguay and Germany against Iceland, with throw-off times to be announced.
The following day, Thursday, November 27th, will see action shift to the netherlands. Romania will play Croatia at 18:00 CET and Denmark will meet Japan at 20:30 CET in the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam. In the Maasport Arena in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Switzerland will make their debut against the Islamic Republic of Iran at 18:00 CET, followed by Hungary taking on senegal at 20:30 CET.
