In Poland, a 16-year-old girl died in a stabbing incident at an orphanage. Another nine people were injured. It is not known whether they are all children. A 19-year-old suspect has been arrested, a police spokesperson told the German news agency DPA.
The suspect entered the orphanage in the village of Tomislawice in the central region of Lódz with an unknown motive. The man did not live in the orphanage, reports DPA.
The girl did live in the orphanage. She died on the spot from her injuries. Five of the injured had to be taken to hospital, they are not in danger. The other four were treated for their injuries at the scene.
