Convoy District Hosts Community Market & Block Party This Sunday
August 10
Kearny Mesa’s Convoy District will transform into a vibrant hub of activity this Sunday, August 10th, from noon to 5 p.m. with the free Convoy Community Market & Block Party. The event, organized by the Convoy District Partnership, aims to showcase the area’s diverse culinary scene, artistic talent, and community spirit.
Attendees can explore a wide array of food vendors, offering cuisines reflecting the Convoy District’s status as a leading Asian culinary destination. Live musical performances and DJ sets will provide entertainment throughout the afternoon. A curated car exhibition will feature vehicles from local car clubs, including the San Diego chapter of the Lowrider community. A dedicated satellite bar, operated by local beverage provider resident Brewing Company, will serve craft beers and other refreshments.
More than 35 self-reliant vendors will be present,offering a diverse selection of goods,including jewelry,original artwork,and collectible Labubu blind boxes. The event also provides a platform for supporting local and international mutual aid efforts, with a portion of proceeds benefiting organizations focused on community support. Specifically, funds will be directed towards the work of the San Diego Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Coalition, which advocates for social justice and equity.
