Celle, Germany – Approximately 150 teams competed in the annual Benefiz–Regatta in Celle this weekend, raising funds and awareness for cancer research. The event, held on September 2025, saw participation from local aid organizations, celebrities, clubs, and political groups, all rowing too support the “Rudern gegen Krebs” (Rowing Against Cancer) initiative.
The regatta serves as a crucial fundraising event for cancer research and support programs. This year’s competition featured five distinct categories, each awarding top placements to the fastest teams. Full results are available at
In the Ceh4-Cup for aid organizations, DRK Celle (Michael Aziz, Celina Schade, Freya Rosa Bisewski, Melissa Seliger) secured first place, followed by DLRG (Andrea Leineweber, Henriette Dittrich, Andreas Vogel, Volker Grabowski) and the fire brigade (Annika Vondracek, Ernst Rose, Gunnar Wendt).
The Fürstenhof-Cup,featuring celebrity teams,saw victory for Let’s go! (Alexandra Hebbe,Stefan Gratzfeld,Hatti Kizilyel,Nora Marx),with now! (Jörg Nigge,Carolina Kühn,Alex Raack,Stina Röbbecke) taking second and We make pace! (sybille Wenzel,Andrea Burgk-Lempart,Henning Otte,Alexander Musy) finishing third.
New Jazz Initiative Celle (Ralf Aring, Per Bergmann, Egon Ziesmann, Moritz Aring) claimed the top spot in the storage racing culture category, ahead of Celler rockmusik-Initiative (Sven Treder, Julian von Groddeck, Wolfgang Reichert, Maimuna Sabally) and all theater! (Gisa Stößl, Jonatan Blomeier, Marlon Frank, Andreas Döring).
Green and Los (Uwe Mohaupt, Olaf Schauer, Annette Schmahl, Viktoria Künstler) won the Standing race politics division, with CDU city association Celle (Christian Ceyp, Rezan Uca, Ute Hinterthür, Felicia Leiffer) in second and SPD district of Celle (Maximilian Schmidt, Yannis Naumann, Kerstin Single, Jörg Malel) taking third.
in the Storage racing clubs category, VfL Westercelle (Kersten Kraft, Thorsten Lübke, Bernd Otte, hanno Reckmann) finished first, followed by MTV Eintracht Celle (Ann-Elen Mey, Sara Radke, Nele Stratmann, Klaus Rohr), Altstädter Schützengilde from 1579 EV (Stefan busch, Heiko Gevers, Michael Rohr, Gerald Brietzke), and TuS Celle FC Allstars (Alex De Andrade, Chris Sommer, Nils Speckmann, Sven Bothfeld).
