While the new book by JK Rowling, the film saga of harry potter celebrates its first twenty years in 2021. In fact, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was released in cinemas in 2001 and an evocative themed installation was presented in London to celebrate the anniversary.
Until October 25 gigantic reproductions of the magical variety from Harry Potter and the other protagonists of the franchise will accompany passers-by in Leicester Square, lighting up every night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:35 p.m. The event is part of the Inside Out Festival, an art show and review of culture that takes place in Westminster, and the installation was presented with a performance by Paul Harris, choreographer of the saga based on the novels by J. K. Rowlingwho conducted a “training” lesson in the use of the magic wand dedicated to children.
The 20th anniversary of the premiere of Harry potter and the Philosopher’s Stone falls on November 16 and special screenings are scheduled for that day in cinemas across the UK and Ireland. Meanwhile, fans of the franchise welcomed the news of Tom Felton’s recovery after the collapse.
The magic wands of plaza leicester will begin a tour at the end of October that will take them to four other cities in Great Britain, in preparation for the launch of Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secretswhich will be out in April 2022.
