In the capital, a strong wind knocked 116 trees and damaged 49 cars in a day, no one was hurt. This is stated in the commentary of the Deputy Mayor of Moscow Peter Biryukov, received by RBC.
“All the life support systems of the capital are operating normally, no malfunctions due to bad weather were allowed,” Biryukov said.
The South-Western, Northern and Zelenograd administrative districts of the capital suffered the most. To prevent flooding in places of possible accumulation of water, special equipment was placed, and 300 emergency teams of Mosvodostok were on duty.
City utilities are on high alert, Biryukov added.
