YSPU Open House in Rybinsk Focuses on 2027 Admissions
Starshaikolniki, parents, and teachers gathered at the Общественно-культурный центр in Rybinsk for an open house event hosted by Ярославский государственный педагогический университет им. К.Д. Ушинского. The session focused on the 2027 admission procedures and curriculum choices for both the main university and its Rybinsk branch, drawing more than 100 participants.
Rector Mikhail Gruzdev and city officials briefed prospective students on admission requirements, urging 10th and 11th-grade students to carefully select their future professions and choose their Unified State Exam (EGE) subjects accordingly. Discussions also emphasized the Rybinsk branch of YSPU, which was opened last year on the basis of the Information and Educational Center to provide local students with classical pedagogical education without leaving their hometown.
Rybinsk Offers Scholarships to Attract Students
City leadership highlighted financial incentives designed to attract students to the local branch, including a scholarship ranging from 15,000 to 30,000 rubles provided by Rybinsk head Dmitry Rudakov. In addition to the scholarship funding, the program offers guaranteed employment and instruction from top educators.

— said Dmitry Rudakov.
Addressing Staff Shortages in Local Schools
Municipal officials noted that the branch directly addresses staffing needs within local schools, specifically targeting shortages of teachers for Russian language and literature, mathematics, and computer science. Rector Gruzdev praised the initiative as a unique practice in attracting and retaining young professionals that deserves federal-level attention.
