YouTube TV to issue ‌$20 Credits ‌to Subscribers Starting November 9 Amid Disney/ESPN Dispute

YouTube TV will begin issuing⁣ $20 credits ‍to subscribers ‌on November 9 as a concession for the potential ⁢loss of Disney-owned channels, including ‌ABC and ESPN,should a deal not be reached⁣ by sunday. All subscribers are expected to receive the credit⁢ by November 12, redeemable towards their next billing statement.

The credits come as negotiations⁣ between ⁢YouTube TV and Disney continue, with the two sides working to resolve‌ a dispute reportedly centered around per-subscriber fees. Disney has reportedly prepared its employees for another⁣ week without its channels on the platform, despite a recent dip in viewership. Google promised the credits would⁣ be issued‍ if Disney’s channels remained unavailable for an “extended period of time,” though ⁢it remains unclear ⁤if the ⁢credits ‍would be issued monthly if ⁤the blackout persists.

According to‌ a source briefed on the ‍negotiations, talks are ongoing as of Saturday.
