YouTube Stars Complete Cross-country Move… by Train
BERLIN – Brothers Benni and Dennis Wolter, known online as “Experte für Alles,” completed a remarkable feat this week: moving their entire household across Germany using only Intercity-Express (ICE) trains. The pair documented their unusual journey, successfully transporting furniture – including a table – and personal belongings despite railway regulations prohibiting large items.
The Wolter brothers’ experiment, captured on their YouTube channel, highlights the challenges of relocation and sparked amusement among fellow passengers. While strict rules exist regarding luggage on German trains, the duo cleverly circumvented them by disguising items and exploiting loopholes, raising questions about enforcement and the limits of what’s possible within the existing system.
Moderator Klaas Heufer-Umlauf commented on the absurdity of luggage size restrictions, stating, “A bag that’s too small is dumber to me than one that’s too big. If nothing fits, then you don’t need a bag at all.” The Wolters took this sentiment to heart, packing a table top into an oversized handbag and concealing table legs within a Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) uniform to resemble a soldier.
Train staff reportedly did not object to the unconventional cargo, which also included moving boxes and a potted plant repurposed as a hat. Passengers, though, were visibly surprised by the traveling furniture.
At the conclusion of their journey, the brothers declared, “We moved with the ICE. (…) We can now start fresh right here at the station.” The stunt has quickly gained traction online, prompting discussion about creative problem-solving and the lengths peopel will go to for a unique moving experience.
