Yoga Journal has launched a new series of curated article playlists, offering listeners access to its extensive archive of wellness and mindfulness content. The playlists, available exclusively to O+ members, are designed to provide accessible tools for navigating stress and cultivating inner peace, even when off the mat.

The initiative comes as demand for accessible mindfulness practices continues to grow. According to Yoga Journal, the archive holds a wealth of wisdom accumulated since 1975, offering guidance applicable to modern challenges. The playlists aim to deliver coping mechanisms tailored to moments of overwhelm, difficulty, or simply a lack of time for traditional practice.

One featured article, “How to Quiet Your Mind, According to Yoga,” draws upon the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, which define yoga as “the resolution of the agitations of the mind.” The article provides a step-by-step approach to achieving mental stillness. Another playlist selection, “This Breathing Technique Can Aid You Calm Nerves and Quiet Emotions,” explores the art of pranayama, emphasizing its potential for emotional regulation.

The curated collection likewise includes “How You Can Learn to Face Any of Life’s Challenges With More Resilience,” which suggests self-inquiry as a method for transforming pain into growth, and “How to See Yourself for Who You Truly Are,” focusing on cultivating a deeper sense of self-awareness. Recognizing the challenges even experienced practitioners face, the playlist also features “This Beloved Pose Is One of the Most Difficult in All of Yoga,” addressing the difficulties of finding relaxation in Savasana amidst stress and mental clutter.

Beyond the curated playlists, Yoga Journal is expanding the “listen” option to select stories across its website, as well as its sister publications, including Outside, Run, Ski, Climbing, Triathlete, and Backpacker. This expansion aims to provide a wider range of mindful content accessible through audio format.
