Yankees Could Sign Kyle Tucker to $360M Blockbuster Deal

Yankees Projected to Sign Kyle ⁢Tucker in $360 Million Deal

November 17, 2025 – The New York Yankees ‍are widely predicted to land star outfielder Kyle Tucker with a 10-year, $360 million ⁢contract, according to a report⁣ from Bleacher Report’s Tim Kelly. This potential blockbuster move comes after a ⁢disappointing playoff exit for the Yankees and a⁤ strategic shift in roster construction following last year’s pursuit of ‍Juan ‌Soto.

The Yankees previously made a⁤ considerable offer – a ⁢16-year, $760 million contract – to Soto and also attempted to acquire⁢ Tucker via trade last offseason, as⁣ reported ⁢by‍ Ken Rosenthal and others for The Athletic. Despite a consecutive Most Valuable Player Award season from Aaron⁤ Judge, the team’s attempt to replace Soto with a collection of players including ⁣Cody Bellinger, devin Williams, and Max Fried did not yield the ⁤desired championship results.

“After continually hitting the same ceiling – 90-plus wins and zero World Series titles in the‌ past 16 years – now would be a good time to circle back to‌ Tucker and see how much damage his swing could do at Yankee‍ Stadium,” The Athletic ‌ reported.

While the Yankees face financial constraints with existing commitments, Kelly⁣ predicts they will secure Tucker with ‌a contract on the⁣ lower end of his projected range of‌ $350 million to $400 million.

“we’ve picked the Yankees to land Tucker, essentially ⁤giving them a big-money‍ corner outfielder to make up for the ‌loss of Juan Soto last winter,” Kelly ‍wrote. “Ultimately, we expect there to be⁤ a club that gives Tucker a 10-year deal.”

Tucker, a ⁤consensus top free agent, enjoyed a strong first half ‌of the most recent season, earning an All-Star selection⁤ before‌ an injury impacted his performance with the Chicago Cubs. The Yankees’⁢ potential ability to create roster space could be further‍ enhanced if ⁣current free agents Trent Grisham and Cody Bellinger depart for contracts with ‌other ‍teams.
