Xiaomi Rolls Out HyperOS 3 Beta to Select Devices,Expanding Android 16-Based OS
BEIJING – Xiaomi has begun the rollout of its HyperOS 3 beta,a next-generation operating system built on Android 16,to an initial group of eight smartphone models. The release marks a significant step in Xiaomi’s push to deliver a revamped user interface, improved performance, and enhanced security across its device ecosystem.
The first beta version is now available for devices including the Redmi K80 Pro and the Xiaomi 15. Xiaomi plans a phased expansion of HyperOS 3 availability, with seven additional models slated to receive the beta update starting September 17th. Further, the company anticipates adding support for over ten more devices by September 30th. Users are advised to consult the official Xiaomi website or community forums for specific model eligibility and rollout schedules.
HyperOS 3 represents Xiaomi’s independent OS development, aiming to optimize the Android experience for its users. The company has highlighted UI improvements, performance gains, and bolstered security as key features of the new operating system. While the current rollout focuses on global markets, Xiaomi has not yet confirmed a specific release timeline for Japan.
