Xiaomi to Launch HyperOS 3.1 with Fully Customizable Control Center

BEIJING – Xiaomi smartphone users are poised to gain unprecedented control over their device interfaces with the upcoming hyperos 3.1 software‌ update. The update introduces a complete redesign of the Control Center, allowing for full customization of its layout, size, and arrangement of quick access toggles.

Currently, users have limited ability to reorder switches within the Control⁤ Center, with core functions like ⁣Wi-Fi and mobile data remaining fixed. HyperOS 3.1 will empower users to resize ‌buttons, prioritize ‍frequently used functions, and‌ tailor the interface‌ to their individual needs. Xiaomi plans to synchronize individual layouts across multiple devices via a feature called HyperConnect, ⁢and enable switching between profiles optimized for⁣ different scenarios – such as work, leisure, or night mode. A drag-and-drop editing⁤ mode will provide an ⁤intuitive customization experience.

The‌ move ‌aligns Xiaomi with ⁣recent advancements in competing‍ operating systems. Both Android 16 and iOS 26 have introduced enhanced customization features for their control centers this year. Xiaomi’s implementation could‍ surpass competitors by ‌offering complete freedom over system toggles, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile data.

the update addresses community feedback regarding the rigidity of the existing HyperOS Control Center, with many users⁢ requesting⁣ greater‌ personalization options.According to GizChina, the update signals Xiaomi’s commitment to “real user control.”

Xiaomi views individualization as a ‍key⁣ standard for smartphone interfaces, ⁢opting for⁣ personalization and customizability as a differentiator alongside⁤ the industry’s focus on artificial intelligence.
