Xbox Store Search Results Briefly Display PlayStation Titles, But Ports Remain Unconfirmed
September 26, 2025 – Xbox users and gaming observers noted the unexpected appearance of search results linking to playstation exclusives – including Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us Part II, and Ghost of Tsushima – within the Xbox Store. However, these results do not indicate confirmed ports to Xbox Series X|S consoles.
Reports surfaced on social media and platforms like Reddit, showing that Google searches for these titles, especially when using the German Xbox Store domain, generated links appearing to lead to Xbox Store pages.Upon investigation, these links do not resolve to active product listings or verifiable content.
The likely cause, according to multiple sources, is the indexing of internal search results within the Xbox Store by Google. Another contributing factor might potentially be the presence of these games in Xbox user profiles via PC play through the Xbox app on Windows, creating what are being termed “ghost pages.” All three titles – Horizon Zero Dawn: complete edition,The last of Us Part II,and Ghost of Tsushima – have received PC releases in recent years.
Similar instances of these types of search result anomalies have occurred previously, though not with the same level of visibility. The current surge in attention may be fueled by the recent launch of Helldivers 2 on xbox and Sony’s increasingly open approach to multiplatform releases.
While PlayStation exclusives may eventually come to Xbox, these search results are not currently indicative of an official announcement or impending release.
