## Wyze ‌Launches window Cam, Offering Indoor‍ Security with‍ Enhanced Brightness

Wyze has introduced the Window Cam, a new security camera designed to mount directly onto ⁢windows, offering a unique alternative to traditional outdoor security ‌solutions. Priced at $34.98, the camera boasts a 1080p sensor and is engineered to deliver clear footage even in low-light conditions thanks to ⁢its window-focused design. A two-pack is available for $59.98.

Unlike conventional security cameras intended for exterior placement, the Window Cam aims to provide a cost-effective and easily installed security option for monitoring entry points from inside ⁤the home. This approach bypasses potential weatherproofing concerns and simplifies setup. The camera features a 101-degree horizontal and 53.9-degree vertical field of view, powered by a three-metre microUSB cable with clips for window‌ frame guidance.

The Window Cam supports continuous local recording to microSD cards up to 512 GB, eliminating the need for a cloud subscription. It also‌ includes WiFi 6 connectivity, Bluetooth⁢ pairing, a built-in microphone and speaker ⁢for two-way dialog, and a timelapse mode.⁤ AI-powered motion detection can identify people and send alerts, with more detailed event‌ descriptions ‌available ⁤through a $20/month Cam unlimited Pro subscription.

Compatibility with Google and amazon voice assistants, as well as the IFTTT platform, allows for advanced automation. Currently, the⁤ Wyze Window Cam is available for purchase in the US, but a release in other markets, including the Czech⁤ Republic, is unlikely in the⁣ near future.
