WWE Adds Two Matches to Wrestlepalooza Card
ORLANDO,FL – Two new matches have been confirmed for WWE’s wrestlepalooza event on September 20,expanding the premium live event’s lineup. The additions stem from confrontations on the most recent episode of Monday Night Raw,setting the stage for compelling clashes between established stars and emerging contenders.
Wrestlepalooza, positioned as a major event on the WWE calendar, will now feature a showdown between Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed and The Usos, as well as a mixed tag team match pitting CM Punk & AJ Lee against Seth Rollins & Becky Lynch. These additions join previously announced matches including John Cena versus Brock Lesnar and a Women’s World Championship bout between IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer. The escalating tensions and strategic maneuvering witnessed on Raw underscore WWE’s commitment to building narratives that culminate in high-stakes competition.
The rivalry between Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed and The Usos ignited on Raw when the reunited Usos challenged Breakker and Reed to a match. Initially hesitant, Breakker & Reed agreed to face The usos on September 20. Later in the night, LA Knight attacked both members of The Usos, leading to a complex dynamic with Jey Uso. Despite assistance from Jimmy Uso, Jey ultimately turned on Knight with a spear, signaling continued internal friction within the tag team.
Another match was made after AJ lee, returning to WWE after over a decade, delivered her first promo on Raw and was confronted by Becky Lynch regarding the Intercontinental Championship. Seth Rollins also demanded the title’s return, prompting Lee to propose a mixed tag team match. After initial resistance, Rollins and Lynch accepted the challenge following an attempted GTS from CM Punk on Rollins.
