WWE Expands Talent Roster with Three New Athletic recruits
WWE has added three new athletes to its developmental roster following successful tryouts during SummerSlam week. Meghan Walker, Cyrus Habibi-Likio, and Jessica Bogdanov have all signed full-time contracts with the company, continuing WWE’s strategy of recruiting from diverse athletic backgrounds.
Meghan Walker transitions to a full contract after previously participating in the WWE NIL (Next In Line) program. She is a former track athlete from the university of Nebraska. Cyrus Habibi-Likio is a former collage football player, having played running back for Boise State. Jessica Bogdanov brings a unique skillset as an accomplished gymnast with Russian heritage and a 2015 Freestyle Calisthenics World Championship title.
Along with these signings, French wrestler Cyril Coquerelle has reported to the Performance Center and will now be known as Elio Lefleur within NXT. Lefleur is already scheduled to compete under his new name in a triple threat match for Lucha libre AAA Worldwide on November 28 in Puebla, Mexico, against Jack Cartwheel and Chris Carter.
The match winner will earn a championship possibility, vying for the AAA Cruiserweight title. This appearance highlights the existing working relationship between WWE and AAA, providing international exposure for the NXT talent. the AAA Cruiserweight Championship will also be defended at AAA’s Guerra de Titanes Premium live Event on December 20, with NXT star Je’Von Evans challenging current champion Laredo Kid. This ongoing talent exchange aims to deliver unique inter-promotional matchups for wrestling fans.
