WTG Heckengäu Begins Season with Victory in Gymnastics Third Bundesliga
STUTTGART – WTG Heckengäu launched its campaign in Germany’s Gymnastics Third bundesliga with a decisive win against TSG Backnang, showcasing a strong start and overcoming challenges on the pommel horse. The final score landed at 20:45, marking a successful beginning for the team recently relegated but bolstered by team spirit.
backnang, competing in the league for its tenth consecutive year and strengthened by newcomer Jendrik Lange from Gymteam Metropole Ruhr, was considered a threat on the ground and pommel horse. However, WTG captain Philipp lutz immediately set the tone with a top-scoring floor exercise, followed by a extraordinary performance from Lovis Spiess, securing an early 7:3 lead for the guests. Despite Backnang’s resurgence on the pommel horse,narrowing the gap to 10:5,WTG maintained momentum.
Stable performances on the rings,with contributions from Spiess and Ludwig,led to a 10:3 device success. Adrian Dudev then delivered a standout performance with a stretched Kasamatsu, earning 12.9 points and extending the lead to 11:3 after his opponent failed. The bar event ended in a 4:4 tie,with notable performances from TSG’s Bulut and WTG’s Manu Tschur and Dudev.

WTG Heckengäu will next host TG Wangen-Eisenharz on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the stadium sports hall in Renningen.
