Wrexham & Christian Eriksen Transfer: Sky Sports Report

Wrexham has reportedly approached Christian Eriksen, the 33-year-old former Manchester United midfielder, regarding a potential transfer. Sky Sports is the source of this information, indicating that the Welsh club has made contact with the Danish international.

Eriksen concluded his tenure at Manchester United upon the expiration of his contract this summer. During his time with the Red Devils, he made a total of 107 appearances.

The prospect of Eriksen joining Wrexham would see him move to the Championship. The club, situated in Wales adn in close proximity to Liverpool, has experienced a remarkable trajectory in recent years. Under the ownership of Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and rob McElhenney, Wrexham has achieved three consecutive promotions within the english league system.

This upward mobility has been accompanied by the recruitment of several high-profile former players, and Eriksen could be the next notable addition.

However, Sky Sports also notes that Eriksen’s preference remains to play in the Premier League, though a move to Wrexham has not been ruled out.

Eriksen’s career began in Odense before he moved to Ajax.He then spent seven years at Tottenham Hotspur, followed by stints at Inter Milan and Brentford, before signing for Manchester United in 2022.

Wrexham is scheduled to commence their Championship season against recently relegated Southampton on August 9th.
