Tennenbronn Wrestlers Defeat Hofstetten in Thrilling Derby Match
Hofstetten, Germany – KSV Tennenbronn emerged victorious against KSV Hofstetten in a highly anticipated wrestling derby held Saturday evening, securing a win in front of approximately 600 enthusiastic spectators at the packed Hofstetten community hall. The final score reflected Tennenbronn’s dominance, though Hofstetten demonstrated spirited competition throughout the night.
The visiting Tennenbronn team faced a setback with an injury to Luca Svaicari, forcing a positional change and a strategic handover of the heavyweight class (130 kg) to Hofstetten’s Patrick Neumaier without contest.
Constantin Rusu of Tennenbronn quickly secured a win in the 57 kg class against Lukas Neumaier, scoring in just 39 seconds to put Tennenbronn ahead 18-0. David Brenn (Tennenbronn) then defeated Antanti Boyadzhiev (Hofstetten) in the 61 kg duel with a decisive 16-0 victory. Julian Neumaier (Hofstetten/98 kg) responded with a 10-0 win over Jonas Schondelmaier.
Tennenbronn regained momentum as David Langenbacher overcame an early lead by Philipp Lehmann (Hofstetten/66 kg) to win 10-3, bringing the halftime score to 7-10 in favor of the visitors.
Florian Wölfle (Hofstetten/86 kg) energized the home crowd with a 10-7 victory over Timo-Marcel Nagel, avenging a previous defeat. Though, Hofstetten’s hopes where quickly dampened as Dominik Wölfle (hofstetten/71 kg) and Elias Allgaier (Hofstetten/80 kg) both lost to Leon Schetterer and Lukas Brenn respectively, with scores of 1-7 in each match.
Fabian Reiner (Tennenbronn/75 kg) sealed the win for Tennenbronn with a 3-1 point victory over Jan Allgaier. A late 2-1 point win by Marius Allgaier (Hofstetten/75 kg F) against Mathias Schondelmaier offered a small consolation for the home team.
“KSV Tennenbronn is a deserved derby winner,” stated Hofstetten’s coach Manuel krämer after the match. “But I’m still satisfied with my team’s performance. There wasn’t much more possible for us. The derby had everything it needed for a great evening of wrestling: great atmosphere, exciting fights and enthusiastic fans.”
KSV Tennenbronn coach Matthias Brenn commented, “I didn’t take Timo-Marcel Nagel’s defeat into account. Others pulled the coals out of the fire for that. it was finally another win for us that was good. The footballers from FV Tennenbronn took a bus to Hofstetten on Saturday after their games to support us. A great exmaple of how community can work in the country and in the village.”
