Croatian Village Bakes Its Way into record Books with three-Kilometer Strudel
Jaškovo, Croatia – september 7, 2025 – A Croatian village has achieved a new world record for the longest strudel chain, stretching an astounding three kilometers. The culinary feat, accomplished in Jaškovo, located 66 kilometers from Zagreb, surpasses previous records and solidifies Croatia’s reputation for customary baking.
This record-breaking strudel builds on a tradition of ambitious baking projects in the region. Jaškovo previously created a 1.5-kilometer strudel in a prior attempt,but was ultimately bested in 2019 by the settlement of Kiseljak,which assembled a 1.7-kilometer chain comprised of nearly six thousand individual strudels. The Guinness World Records officially recognized Kiseljak’s achievement, and Jaškovo’s latest effort aims to reclaim the title and showcase Croatian culinary heritage.
The strudel was created on September 7, 2025, with the support of local bakers and community members.
