MAHWAH, N.J. – The TCNJ women’s swimming and diving team dominated Ramapo College on Saturday, securing a decisive 171-87 victory in their season opener. The Lions showcased their strength across multiple events, signaling a strong start to their 2025-26 campaign.
This commanding win establishes TCNJ as a team to watch in the New Jersey Athletic Conference and beyond. The Lions’ performance demonstrates their depth and potential for success as they navigate a challenging schedule. The victory provides early momentum and confidence for a roster aiming to build upon previous achievements. TCNJ will next face a significant test against nationally ranked Salisbury on November 8th.
TCNJ seized first place in ten of the fourteen events contested. The team of Bridget Cleveland, Lilliana Kuball, Sofia Hall, and Katie Mazzacco kicked off the meet with a winning time of 1:54.37 in the 200-meter medley relay.
Mazzacco and Cleveland each secured two individual victories. Mazzacco topped the field in both the 200-meter and 500-meter freestyle, while Cleveland claimed wins in the 100-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke. Kuball also earned two wins, taking first in the 100-meter breaststroke and 200-meter individual medley. Shaye Bundonis completed the multiple-win performers, triumphing in the 200-meter backstroke and 100-meter butterfly. katelyn Gaulin rounded out TCNJ’s individual successes with a first-place finish in the 200-meter breaststroke.
The Lions will return to action on Saturday, November 8, hosting #24 Salisbury for a home meet.
