Women’s Golf: Morehead State Heads to Johnie Imes Invitational in Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Missouri State University⁤ Eagles women’s golf team heads west this week to compete in the‌ johnie Imes Invitational, hosted‍ at The Club at⁣ Olde ‍Hawthorne. Play begins ⁣Monday, with teams ‍battling over 54 holes on the par-72, ‌6,264-yard⁣ course.

The invitational presents a key early-season test for ‌the Eagles, featuring a competitive field including Cincinnati, UAB, Murray State, Missouri State,⁢ Wichita State, Missouri,‍ Howard, north Alabama, East Texas A&M, South Dakota State, Kentucky, Omaha, and ⁣South‌ Dakota. The tournament offers‍ a valuable ​chance for⁣ the team to gauge its progress and build momentum​ as ‌it navigates the fall season.

Leading the‍ charge for Missouri State⁢ will be Tuva Marie⁣ Isebakke, who ​tied​ for 11th place at the recent opening event with a three-round score of 69-74-67–210. Isebakke will once again anchor the Eagles’ lineup.

Also returning to the lineup is ⁣Amelia Rae Greenlee, who delivered a top-20 ⁤finish ​at last year’s imes Invitational, carding rounds⁢ of 78 and 71 for a ⁢149 total. Joining them will be Isabella Wiley, Claudia Hofmeister,​ and Greenlee, forming the core of the team’s competitive five.

Freshman Margaret Ullrich is set to ‍make her collegiate debut, competing as an individual. ⁤The tournament ‌lineup is as follows: 1. ⁣Tuva‍ marie Isebakke, 2. isabella⁣ Wiley,⁤ 3. Claudia‍ Hofmeister,4. Amelia Rae Greenlee, ‍5. Morgan Kennedy, and IND. Margaret Ullrich.
