Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen has committed his future to the club, signing a new contract that extends his stay until 2030.
the new deal, finalized just three months after his permanent move to Molineux, includes an option for a further year. This commitment from the 25-year-old Norwegian international signals Wolves’ intent to build around the striker, despite a challenging start to the Premier League season.
Larsen initially joined Wolves on loan from Celta Vigo, where he impressed by scoring 14 goals. That form prompted the club to secure his services permanently for a fee of £23 million, a move that helped stabilize Wolves and secure a 16th-place finish in the Premier League last season.
The club resisted significant interest in larsen during the summer transfer window, reportedly turning down bids of £50 million and £55 million from Newcastle United. This demonstrates the high regard in which Wolves hold the player and their determination to retain his services.
So far this season, Larsen has scored two goals, both coming in an EFL Cup victory against West Ham. However, he is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury, having missed the last two matches.
Wolves will be hoping for Larsen’s swift return to fitness as they prepare to face Leeds united on Saturday, seeking to end a run of four consecutive Premier League defeats.
Larsen’s contract extension follows a similar commitment from Wolves manager Vitor Pereira, who agreed a new three-year deal on Thursday.
