Wisconsin Claims 2025 NCAA Women’s Hockey Championship with Victory Over Maine
Madison,WI – October 4,2025 - The Wisconsin Badgers secured the 2025 NCAA Women’s Hockey Championship title with a win over the Maine Black Bears,fueled by a quick goal in the second half of the fifth period after scoring the first five-minute goal.
The victory marks another championship for the dominant Wisconsin program, continuing its legacy in collegiate women’s hockey. Forward Adela Sapovalivova played a key role in the Badgers’ success, demonstrating both scoring ability and playmaking skills. “But I want to create a good option for team players. So I want to find a good pass to score them,” Sapovalivova said when asked to describe her game.
