Winston-Salem State Women’s Basketball Announces Challenging 2025-26 Schedule
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Winston-Salem State University women’s basketball team today released its 2025-26 schedule, featuring a demanding mix of non-conference opponents adn a full slate of CIAA competition culminating in the conference tournament in Baltimore. The Rams are poised for a competitive season under the leadership of head coach Tierra Terry.
The schedule is designed to prepare the team for a strong postseason run. “We have a very competitive schedule for the 25-26 season that we believe will prepare us for Baltimore in February,” said Coach Terry. ”we are excited for the RAMILY to see our players’ hard work and passion on and off the court. Please come support us this season!”
The Rams will kick off the season with a road game at North Carolina A&T on November 16 in Greensboro. Early non-conference challenges include matchups against Converse (November 19), Concord (November 25), Barton (November 29), and Lees-McRae (December 1). WSSU will host USC Aiken (November 22) and Francis Marion (December 11) at the Gaines center before entering CIAA play.
CIAA action begins with road contests at Bowie state (December 13) and Lincoln (December 15), followed by home games against Mt. Olive (December 20) and Virginia University of Lynchburg (January 2).
The Rams will face Elizabeth City State (January 10), Virginia State (January 13), Johnson C. Smith (January 29), Livingstone (January 31), Fayetteville State (February 7), Claflin (February 12), and Shaw (February 14) at home during conference play. Road matchups include Shaw (January 17), Claflin (January 21), Fayetteville State (January 24), Virginia Union (February 4), Johnson C. Smith (February 18), and Livingstone (February 21).
The regular season will build toward the CIAA Tournament,scheduled for February 22-28 in Baltimore,MD,where the Rams aim to contend for the championship. The 2025-26 season promises exciting basketball action for WSSU fans with a balance of challenging non-conference games and competitive CIAA rivals.
