Wheeling Women’s Golf Heads to Michigan Tournament

Wheeling Women’s⁤ Golf prepares for‍ Regular ⁢Season Finale ​at Bull dog Fall Classic

The Wheeling University Women’s golf team heads ‌to the Katke Golf Course at Ferris State University this weekend for the 2025 Bull Dog Fall Classic, their final regular⁢ season tournament before the conference championship. The two-day event will see the cardinals tested against a field including Ferris ‌State, Grand Valley State, Saginaw Valley, Tiffin, Gannon, and Walsh.

Ella Keffer leads Wheeling into the tournament, coming off a 14th-place finish at the recent⁢ event ​where she‍ shot a‍ three-day total of 161, beginning with a strong opening round of 78. ‍Keffer has consistently led the team this season,recording scores of 160 or better in three⁤ of the first‌ four events.

Brielle Milhoan will also compete, having recently posted a⁢ two-day⁤ score of 174. ​Milhoan improved her‍ score by six strokes on the second day, carding⁣ an 84 – her second-lowest single-round score of the season – and narrowly missing a top-20 finish.‌ She⁤ is aiming to qualify for the third day of the MEC ‍women’s⁢ Golf Championships this year, after missing the ⁢cut last season.

Tee times begin Saturday, September 27th, with the first Wheeling player teeing off at 10:10 AM. Live results can be followed at https://scoreboard.clippd.com/tournaments/238704/scoring/player. The Katke Golf ‌Course is an 18-hole ⁤course owned by Ferris State University and serves ⁢as the home course for their cross country and golf programs. Each player will play 18 holes per ‍day, with all competitors beginning on hole one.
