Westerleigh author and daughter of first responder to speak at 9/11 Day of Service

Susan Fiorentino, daughter of a Staten Island firefighter who died on 9/11, has authored a book titled “We Will Never Forget: The Stories of the Children of 9/11 First Responders.” The book compiles the personal accounts of children whose parents were first responders and perished in the September 11th attacks.

Fiorentino’s father, Joseph A. Fiorentino, was a firefighter wiht Ladder Company 174 in Brooklyn. He was among the nearly 3,000 victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Susan was 16 years old when her father died.

The book aims to preserve the memories of the fallen first responders through the eyes of their children,offering a unique outlook on the lasting impact of the tragedy. Fiorentino has been involved with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization that supports families of fallen first responders and military heroes, and has met with notable figures such as former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani in connection with her advocacy work.
