Wavelink inks Cloudian distie deal

Wavelink and Cloudian Partner to Boost AI Data Solutions

A new distribution agreement between Wavelink and Cloudian seeks to expand the availability of AI-ready data platforms throughout Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania.

Strategic Alliance

The agreement allows Wavelink to provide technical training, partner enablement programs, and tailored go-to-market strategies. These resources will focus on industries adopting AI and hybrid data strategies. Through their collaboration, Wavelink hopes to enhance support for partners navigating cloud optimization, hybrid strategies, and on-premises deployments for AI model training.

Executive Perspectives

Cloudian is a great fit for Wavelink’s channel partners, from managed service providers to resellers specialising in cloud, infrastructure, and security, said Ilan Rubin, CEO of Wavelink.

James Wright, APJ managing director at Cloudian, said, Cloudian is excited to partner with Wavelink to expand its reach across Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania, and in particular, to bring the HyperStore platform to more organisations.

Cloudian’s HyperStore Platform

Cloudian’s HyperStore delivers S3-compatible object storage that is highly scalable. Seamless integration across on-premises, public, and private cloud environments is a key feature. According to a recent survey, 67% of enterprises are using or plan to use hybrid cloud storage solutions (Statista 2023).

Benefits of the Partnership

Wavelink’s channel partners, ranging from managed service providers to cloud and security resellers, stand to gain significantly. Cloudian’s flexible commercial model, market leadership, and wide-ranging compatibility are expected to make it a valuable addition to Wavelink’s existing portfolio.

Cloudian’s modular architecture and pay-as-you-grow model suit organizations seeking to shift workloads from hyperscale clouds to local infrastructure. This shift is often driven by the need to reduce latency, improve cost predictability, and strengthen data control.
