Exetel’s Lightning-Fast Internet Plan: 500Mbps at an Unbeatable Price
Australian internet users can now experience ultra-fast home internet without breaking the bank. Telecommunications provider **Exetel** is shaking up the market by launching a 500Mbps plan, boasting impressive speeds and cost savings compared to existing options.
Breaking the Speed Barrier
Exetel has launched its new “One” plan, delivering 500Mbps download speeds. This plan is available for homes with fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) or hybrid fibre coax (HFC) NBN connections. Exetel is removing all other NBN plans, signalling confidence in this new offering.
The Price Advantage
The new plan is competitively priced at AU$80 per month. In comparison, an NBN 100 plan, which is five times slower, averages over AU$90 monthly. Even a slower NBN 25 plan costs more. This pricing strategy provides exceptional value for money.
Extra Features
The “One” plan includes special features. Customers can temporarily upgrade to achieve 1000Mbps speeds, for a fee. There’s also a “Hibernate” option, which lets users decrease speed, saving money when they’re away. All changes are made within the Exetel app, for both iPhone and Android users.
Referral Program
A referral program is another new perk. Customers can refer friends to Exetel. Both referrer and friend will receive AU$1 off their monthly plan for as long as they are connected.
Performance Perspective
Exetel frequently tops lists for internet service providers. In a recent report, Exetel reached 104.5% of plan download speeds during the day and 103.7% during peak evening hours. According to a report by the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC), the average download speed in Australia is currently 52.8 Mbps (Source 2024).
Getting Started
To take advantage of the “One” plan, check if you have an FTTP or HFC connection through the Exetel website. Existing Exetel customers with compatible connections can switch via the app.
