VUMC to Transform Former Brentwood AT&T Data Center into Major Outpatient Clinic
BRENTWOOD, TN - Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) will redevelop the former AT&T data center at 402 franklin Road in Brentwood into a comprehensive outpatient clinical facility, the association announced Wednesday. The 347,500-square-foot building, one of Brentwood’s largest, was leased by VUMC earlier this year.
The project expands Vanderbilt Health’s footprint in rapidly growing Williamson County, offering increased access to specialized medical services. VUMC has a proven track record of triumphant property redevelopment, previously transforming a former shopping mall into Vanderbilt Health at One hundred Oaks and a grocery store into Vanderbilt Health Belle Meade.
Rehabilitation of the building will begin in the near future, though an exact timeline has not been provided. The new clinic will house cancer diagnostic and treatment services, including surgery, and also heart and vascular care, orthopedics, and sports medicine clinics. On-site laboratory and imaging capabilities will also be included.
VUMC currently provides adult specialty care, pediatric emergency and inpatient care through Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, and operates five walk-in clinics throughout the county. The organization is also affiliated with Williamson Health, the county’s nonprofit independent hospital system.
“Vanderbilt Health looks forward to providing Williamson County and nearby residents with ever-improving access to world-class expertise and care,” VUMC stated in its release. Zoning for the property already permits medical office use.
