Real Madrid is facing contract negotiations with their left winger, whose current deal extends until mid-2027. While teh club is keen to extend the playerS stay, the footballer’s demands are reportedly very high.
Francisco Jose Delgado has confirmed that the player in question is seeking a salary comparable to that of Kylian Mbappe. The former Flamengo academy player aims to be positioned at the top of the club’s wage structure alongside the French international.
According to reports, Real Madrid’s management has not been pleased with the 25-year-old’s expectations. These discussions have arisen following a period where the Brazilian international’s performance was not as strong as in previous seasons,such as the 2023/24 campaign.
Should the player not accept his current standing within the club’s wage hierarchy, a transfer could be considered. The potential departure of the brazilian could pave the way for Erling Haaland to join real Madrid.
“Vinicius has approached Real Madrid requesting a salary on par with Mbappe. This is the primary reason why negotiations have stalled. Talks are expected to resume during the season, but he will certainly not receive the same salary as the Frenchman,” Cadena Ser reported. “The club will attempt to bridge the gap in figures, and if unsuccessful, Real will consider selling him for an astronomical sum. Saudi clubs have already offered €200 million for the Brazilian. This amount could be key to fulfilling Florentino Perez’s dream of having both Mbappe and Erling Haaland in the squad.”
Haaland currently plays for Manchester City. Transfermarkt values the Norwegian at €180 million, and his contract with the Citizens runs until 2034.
