Viedma Book Fair: Events, Authors, and Literary Showcase

FOR IMMEDIATE⁣ RELEASE: Río negro’s Literary Voices to‍ Shine at 15th Viedma Book Fair

Viedma, Río Negro – [Date of Release] – The 15th Viedma Book Fair kicks off this‌ weekend at⁢ the Municipal‌ Culture Center, promising a vibrant ​celebration of literature‌ and the arts. organized by the ⁤Municipality of Viedma, ‍the fair will host over 30 book presentations alongside‌ numerous publishers offering exhibition‌ spaces and⁤ sales.

The Rionegrino Editorial‍ Fund ​(FER) will be a key presence throughout the event, with a dedicated book stand open⁤ Friday from 9 a.m.⁢ to 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 2⁢ p.m. to 10 p.m.,and Sunday from 3 p.m. to​ 9 p.m.

Highlights of the FER’s participation include‍ a Saturday afternoon presentation of Barrio 140,a poetry collection by Carina‌ Nosenzo.selected through the 2024 Call, nosenzo’s work was​ praised by the jury ⁢for its “powerful images, ⁣varied‌ sensations, and⁤ a rhythm⁢ that, out loud, leads to a strong, performative⁤ musicality‌ with content of social commitment.” Nosenzo will be ⁣joined by Dafne Pidemunt, author of the book’s prologue, at the 4 p.m. event in⁤ the Cultural Center’s Piano room.

Sunday will see the launch of the⁣ LGBTIQNBA+ Río Negro Literary Anthology at 4 p.m. in the Sala mayor. This‍ project, a collaboration between the FER and CURZAS,⁤ showcases ⁢the writing of 24 authors representing the‌ province’s diverse communities, selected through a contest earlier this‍ year. The ‌anthology’s cover and back cover art were created by Isa Maureira.

Beyond ⁢book ‍launches, the fair will feature theatrical performances, musical shows, over ‌ten workshops, conferences, ​storytelling for families and schools, and an artistic installation titled “Hadas Bimbulli, Crisálida y Semilla” by visual artist Hadita​ Mercado.
