Square Enix unveiled 37 minutes of gameplay footage for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake during a recent event, showcasing the “Seabed” area of the game. The remake is slated for release on both the Nintendo Switch adn the upcoming Switch 2 on October 30, 2025.
This extended gameplay reveal joins recent showcases of other upcoming titles for Nintendo’s platforms. Square Enix also presented extended footage and new trailers for Dragon Quest VII: Reimagined and Octopath Traveler 0, both also planned for release on switch and Switch 2. Additionally, gameplay of Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles was demonstrated ahead of its launch on both consoles next week, with a replay available on the Square Enix YouTube channel.
