Veolia Extends Holyoke Wastewater Partnership, Deploying Advanced Hubgrade Technology
HOLYOKE, MA – May 16, 2024 – Veolia North America today announced a renewed and expanded partnership wiht the City of Holyoke, Massachusetts, to modernize its wastewater operations through the implementation of its innovative Hubgrade technology. The collaboration aims to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of the city’s wastewater treatment processes.
Veolia has been a partner to Holyoke for over two decades, initially taking over operations of the city’s wastewater treatment facility in 2003. This latest agreement builds upon that foundation, integrating Hubgrade – a suite of digital solutions designed to optimize water and wastewater network performance – to address evolving challenges and ensure long-term resilience.
Hubgrade utilizes real-time data analysis, predictive modeling, and remote monitoring capabilities to improve treatment plant performance, reduce energy consumption, and minimize environmental impact. The technology will enable Holyoke to proactively manage its wastewater infrastructure, identify potential issues before they escalate, and optimize resource allocation.
“This partnership with Veolia and the implementation of Hubgrade represent a notable investment in Holyoke’s future,” said Mayor Joshua Garcia. “Modernizing our wastewater infrastructure is crucial for protecting public health, supporting economic development, and preserving our environment.”
