Venezuela BCV Exchange Rate: March 23, 2026 – USD to VES Update

The Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV) set the official exchange rate to 457.0757 Bs/USD on March 23, 2026, an increase of Bs. +1.821, or 0.4%, compared to the previous day, according to a statement released by the bank.

The rate represents a weighted average of daily operations conducted by participating banking institutions, the BCV stated. The publication of the daily rate aims to provide an official reference point for Venezuela’s foreign exchange market.

Year-to-date, the exchange rate has accumulated an increase of +158.9326 bolívares, representing a 53.3075% change since the beginning of the year. Compared to March 24, 2025, the increase is +388.7641 bolívares, or 569.1041%. The year-on-year accumulated variation as of the same date last year was +31.5341%.

The BCV similarly publishes comparative rates for other major currencies. As of March 23, 2026, these rates were: EUR 527.7944, CNY 66.35248091, TRY 10.3170605, and RUB 5.45610887.

Data from March 20, 2026, indicates varying rates offered by individual banks. Banco Mercantil offered a buying rate of 463.7206 and a selling rate of 455.4080. BBVA Provincial posted rates of 492.2690 for buying and 488.6447 for selling. Banco Nacional de Crédito BNC showed 470.2590 for buying and 502.4334 for selling. Banco Exterior’s rates were 458.9292 for buying and 465.9819 for selling. Banesco offered 477.3821 for buying and 458.9315 for selling, while other institutions reported rates of 490.3453 for buying and 524.8509 for selling.
