Vacances Air Canada Details Strict Refund Deadlines for Protection Packages
Air Canada customers managing travel plans face strict refund policies and cancellation deadlines under newly detailed travel protection packages, according to Vacances Air Canada. The options govern vacation packages, flight-and-hotel bundles, and tours spanning Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, South America, Europe, the United States, and Canada.
Claim Refunds or Credits Before Deadlines
Vacances Air Canada outlines two distinct travel protection tiers: TouteFlexibilité and TouteFlexibilité Plus. The TouteFlexibilité protection allows cancellations up to three days before departure. Refunds depend strictly on timing. Customers canceling up to 21 days before departure receive a full refund via their original payment method. Those canceling between 20 and 3 days before departure receive 100 percent of the total price issued as an internal credit.
Cancellations requested two days or less before departure, including departure day, are completely non-refundable. Car rentals, excursions, theme park tickets, and other attractions remain non-refundable across all tiers. The cost of the travel protection solutions themselves is also non-refundable.
Enhanced Terms Under TouteFlexibilité Plus
The TouteFlexibilité Plus protection extends the cancellation window up to 24 hours before the departure of the first flight in a booking. Up to 21 days before departure, the total package price goes back to the original payment method. Between 20 days and 24 hours before departure, refunds return to the original payment method minus specific internal credit deductions.
That deduction sits at 250 dollars per person for bookings covering Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, the Middle East, and North Africa. For the United States and Canada, the deduction is 100 dollars per person issued as internal credit. Cancellations within the final 24 hours before the first flight offer no refunds.
Use Internal Credits Under Strict Rules
Internal credits issued by Vacances Air Canada remain valid for one year and cannot be exchanged for cash. Customers who cancel must wait a mandatory 10 days before booking again using the credit. Transferred credits require approval from Vacances Air Canada and must match the original beneficiary conditions.
Higher price differences caused by partial cancellations must be covered directly by the traveler.
