Peace Declared in Uya Kuya & Sherina Munaf Cat Dispute Following Jakarta Looting
Jakarta, Indonesia – A dispute between television personality Uya kuya and musician Sherina Munaf over a rescued cat has been peacefully resolved following mediation by the East Jakarta Metro Police. The conflict arose after a cat belonging to Kuya was found during recent looting and taken in by Munaf.
The situation unfolded after Munaf shared a post detailing the rescue of a cat amidst the unrest. She explained that the feline, originally from Kuya’s home, had been rescued and was under her temporary care.
“One of the cats from uya Kuya’s house was rescued all night and @indiradiandra had coordinated directly with the rescuer. This morning it was picked up and now the cat is safe, while I am a foster,” Munaf wrote, as reported by detikcom. she also used the prospect to advocate for animal adoption, stating, “Conditions: very thin, the bones feel really when they are tapped again. For pet owners, please adopt as much as possible, don’t shop, sterilize cats, if unable to take care, no need to keep.”
Munaf initially did not attend scheduled clarifications with the East Jakarta Metro Police on Monday and Tuesday, but ultimately complied with a summons on Friday.
Following clarification sessions, both parties agreed to resolve the matter amicably, emphasizing a shared sense of humanity.
“Alhamdulillah, after clarification. Certainly also has a high sense of humanity. This is of course we intend to mediators. After we mediate from this good intention, they agreed with family deliberations,” stated Commissioner Alfian Nurrizal, Chief of the East Jakarta Metro Police.
Police officials also clarified the ownership of the cat and commended both Kuya and Munaf for their peaceful resolution and mutual respect.
Sherina Munaf’s attorney, Adit, stressed that his client had no ill intentions, acting solely out of compassion. “There is no intention of anything from sherina or Indira, only pure humanity,” he affirmed.
Uya Kuya also reportedly explained his outlook on the situation, though details were not immediately available.
This resolution brings a positive end to a situation that garnered public attention, highlighting the importance of compassion and understanding, even amidst challenging circumstances.
