October 13, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center Colleges of Medicine and Nursing, alongside the Department of Preventive Medicine and the Tennessee Population Health Consortium, invited researchers, clinicians, educators, public health professionals, and population health leaders to submit topics and/or proposals to speak at the 2026–2027 Population Health Research Conference Series, UTHSC News reported.

Speakers Submit Summaries for Spring 2027 Conference

Proposed conference dates are available in Spring 2027, with presentation timing accommodated based on speaker availability and scheduling. Sessions run for approximately 90 minutes starting at 11:30 a.m., featuring lunch and networking time. Speakers typically deliver a 30- to 35-minute presentation followed by 25 to 30 minutes of audience discussion and Q&A. Presenters must also provide three to five discussion questions to stimulate audience engagement.

Prospective speakers are invited to submit a presentation title alongside a 100- to 150-word summary for evaluation.

Health Professionals Earn Continuing Education Credits

The statewide forum targets academics, health researchers, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, allied health professionals, residents, fellows, medical and nursing students, and public health professionals. Continuing education credits are available for attendees. Physicians can claim a maximum of one AMA PRA Category 1 Credit per session attended, while nurses can earn Nursing Continuing Professional Development credit through the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing.

Additional coverage from UTHSC News notes that the monthly and quarterly events feature successful and sustainable pragmatic interventional designs or programs aimed at improving community health outcomes. Sessions are accessible both in person at the Crowe Building located at 874 Union Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee, and virtually via Zoom.
