TAMPA, Fla. – Six University of South Florida women’s soccer players – Fabri, Nestor, Rightmire, Sider-Echenberg, Suetsugu, and an unnamed player who scored against Charlotte – have been named to the CSC Academic all-District team, the program announced today.
Sider-Echenberg earned her second CSC Academic All-District selection, alongside a spot on the American All-Conference first team. She led the bulls with six goals, including three match-winners, and finished the season with 13 points and one assist. She was also named to the American Conference Preseason Watch List and received an American Conference Honorable Mention nod during the season.
Suetsugu secured her first CSC Academic All-District honour after being named to the American All-Conference second team. She recorded one goal – the match-winner against East Carolina on Sept. 19 – and two assists, logging 1,501 minutes as a midfielder.
Rightmire also earned her first CSC Academic All-District accolade, appearing in all 20 matches with 18 starts and tallying 1,638 minutes as a defender. She was a key component of a defense that registered seven clean sheets.
Nestor picked up her first CSC Academic All-District honor after appearing in 19 matches, making one start, and finishing fourth on the team with eight points from three goals and two assists. she scored the match-winning goal against Charlotte on Oct. 19.
Fabri landed on the CSC Academic All-District list for the first time, starting all 15 matches she appeared in and logging 1,283 minutes as a midfielder. She scored her lone goal of the season against Charlotte in the American Conference Tournament.
An unnamed player also earned her first CSC Academic All-District selection, logging 616 minutes on the season.
to be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have competed in 90 percent of the institution’s matches or started in at least 66 percent of them.
Head coach Chris Brown is in his second season, following a record-setting debut in 2024 that saw the Bulls achieve 12 wins and earn both the American athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year and goalkeeper of the Year awards. Brown previously served as associate head coach for 17 years (2007-2023), contributing to three American Athletic Conference titles and eight NCAA appearances.
