USA Wrestling & Positive Athlete Launch 2025-2026 Nomination Drive,Offering Scholarships & Leadership Development
COLORADO SPRINGS,Colo. – USA Wrestling and Positive Athlete have renewed their strategic alliance, opening nominations September 8, 2025, for the 2025-2026 Positive Athlete program. The initiative recognizes high-character high school student-athletes (grades 9-12) who demonstrate leadership, resilience, and positivity both on and off the wrestling mat.
This collaboration aims to cultivate well-rounded young leaders within the sport, providing nominees with access to scholarship opportunities, national and regional recognition, and a new digital platform launching in Fall 2025. The program is free to enter and requires approximately five minutes to complete a nomination.
The Positive Athlete program distinguishes itself by focusing on character alongside athletic achievement. Nominees will benefit from resources including resume building, career development guidance, and leadership training, all accessible through the forthcoming Positive Athlete Digital platform.
Any adult age 18 or over – including coaches, teachers, parents, and mentors – can nominate a deserving student-athlete at positiveathlete.org/nominate.the nomination deadline is mid-April.
