Indonesia’s Tourism and Creative Economy Minister, Sandiaga Uno, has expressed his confidence that the Lido Tourism Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in West Java province will encourage domestic tourists to stay within the country. The SEZ, which has a land area of 1,040 hectares, will feature attractions such as theme and water parks, hotels, golf courses, music and art centers, and a movieland. The development is also expected to support the government’s target of receiving 1.4 billion domestic tourist visits and 7.4 million foreign tourist visits in 2023. The Lido SEZ is located near the Cigombong Toll Gate of the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road and is only two hours away from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Banten province.
