Univar Solutions Launches European Food Innovation Hub in Germany
Univar Solutions, a leading global distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients, has opened a new Food and Beverage Growth Kitchen at its Essen Solution Center in Germany. This investment aims to accelerate innovation and cater to the growing demand for advanced food solutions across Europe.
The new facility, branded as Foodology by Univar Solutions, will serve as a collaborative space for customers and suppliers, focusing on the development of cutting-edge culinary applications. It’s part of Univar Solutions’ wider network of global solution centers offering technical expertise,research & development capabilities,and ingredient testing.

The launch is strategically timed to capitalize on rising European consumer interest in clean label ingredients, plant-based proteins and alternatives to customary meat and dairy, and sustainably sourced or upcycled food products.
