UNC Asheville Women’s Tennis at Wofford Invitational 2025

Spartanburg, S.C. – UNC Asheville Women’s Tennis will conclude its fall competition schedule ‌this weekend ⁢at the wofford Invitational, November 7-9. The tournament, hosted by Wofford College, will feature a challenging field of opponents ⁢as ⁤the Bulldogs prepare for ⁢the spring season.

the⁤ invitational marks the⁢ final possibility for Asheville to assess its progress during the fall campaign. The team returns ⁣three players from last ‍season – Angelina Joy Hug, a recent All-Conference ‌Doubles selection, alongside Valeria Centeno and Avery sager. They are⁤ joined by newcomers Isabella moss and Sofia Segui, adding depth to the⁤ roster.

UNC Asheville will face competition from Furman, Gardner-webb, ⁢Clemson, Kennesaw State, Liberty, Mercer, Presbyterian, Western Carolina, and the host Wofford. Head Coach Jeff Maren anticipates the event will be a valuable experiance for his team. “The Wofford Invite will be a perfect way to complete our⁣ fall competition! We will face strong opponents from some teams that⁤ we don’t often see, ⁤so this will stretch us and prepare​ us for the spring! I believe we have made good improvements over the past few months and am looking ⁢forward to applying these new skills over the weekend!”
