Bank Independent Stadium Draw Secures Tournament Seed
North Alabama entered the pink out fixture with an 18-shot performance and nine corner kicks, but failed to break the deadlock against the visiting Governors. Junior midfielder Emerson Nieroda led the Lions with four shots, including two on target. Alana Owens matched that output with three total shots and two on goal for North Alabama.
Starting Lion goalkeeper Emily Dorfman turned away all of Austin Peay’s shots on target. Dorfman, Gracie Tyrrell, Adelyn Speight, and Lilly Ford played the full match for North Alabama as 18 players saw action during the regular-season contest.

The result moved North Alabama’s record to 6-4-6 overall and 3-3-3 in conference play. Austin Peay moved to 2-13-3 overall and 1-6-2 in the UAC, securing its spot in the postseason tournament following the draw combined with West Georgia’s loss to Eastern Kentucky.
Eastern Kentucky Leads UAC Blue Division Standings
Eastern Kentucky claimed the top seed in the UAC Blue Division, locking North Alabama into the second seed. The tournament bracket pits the Lions against the third seed from the Red Division. That spot remains contested between Tarleton State with 18 points, Abilene Christian with 17 points, and Central Arkansas with 15 points, with the Bears scheduled to close the regular season against Tarleton State.
I don’t know what it is with UNA and following another Govs team to the locker room. I’m sure they’ll play victim once again pic.twitter.com/CRP5gTDxBs
Head coach Chris Walker enters the final match of the regular season sitting at 112 wins, one victory shy of surpassing Graham Winkworth as the all-time winningest UNA head coach.
Senior Sunday Finale Against West Georgia
North Alabama closes its regular season hosting West Georgia on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Bank Independent Stadium. The meeting offers the program a chance to mark Senior Day while Coach Walker pursues his milestone victory.

Historically, the series has favored the Lions, who had not dropped or tied a match against Austin Peay since a 2024 visit to Clarksville. The last three contests between the two sides were decided by 2-1 margins in favor of North Alabama before Thursday’s scoreless result.
