Ukraine Boosts Frozen Raspberry Exports as Polish Shortages Drive Demand
Ukraine Boosts Frozen Raspberry Exports as Polish Shortages Drive Demand. During June and July 2026, Ukraine exported 7,4 tys. ton of frozen raspberries valued at 29.9 million euros, according to EastFruit data cited by SadyOgrody. The initial phase of the 2026/2027 season matches results from 2024 and exceeds the start of the previous season.
The average export price during the first two months reached 4,06 euro/kg. In July alone, Ukraine shipped 5,2 tys. ton of frozen raspberries at an average price of 4,03 euro/kg. Among the primary destinations for these shipments are Poland, Germany, and the Czech Republic, with Poland becoming a key buyer where 2,83 tys. ton of fruit arrived in July alone.
Polish Raspberry Shortage Boosts Ukrainian Exports
Ukrainian exporters are capitalizing on an unexpected fruit shortage across the European market, driven significantly by a drop in raspberry yields in Poland. This deficit has created more space on Western markets and boosted sales opportunities into Poland. Additional export potential may be supported by everbearing varieties that extend harvests and supply into the autumn period. Ukrainian producers face the task of planning procurement and contract agreements while ensuring products meet European Union maximum residue levels for plant protection products, alongside ongoing trade condition negotiations between Ukraine and the European Union.

Ukrainian Berry Prices Reach Record Highs
According to the Ukrainian Berries Association, the average price in June and July stood slightly above 4,00 EUR/kg (17,55 zł/kg), with later fruits purchased at higher rates. September brought further price surges on the Ukrainian market due to limited fruit availability. Processing plants in Ukraine were offered rates reaching 193 – 195 hrywien /kg excluding VAT (16,84 – 17,02 zł/kg), marking the highest level in measurement history compared to wholesale prices of approximately 180 hrywien /kg (15,71 zł/kg) recorded in September 2025.
